Treatment guidelines for PTSD amongst emergency workers
We are currently working together with Employers Mutual to bring together a group of experts to develop clear, evidence-based guidelines on how to treat posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) amongst emergency workers. This will be completed in 2014. For guidance on the treatment of adults with Acute Stress Disorder (ASD) and PTSD please refer to the Australian Guidelines for the Treatment of Adults with Acute Stress Disorder and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder approved by the National Medical Health and Research Council.
